Cononley

Cononley is a traditional quiet Yorkshire Dales village, yet has excellent transport links into Skipton and the Dales. The train station is situated in the village and local buses can take you to the surrounding villages and towns.

There are two pubs, the New Inn with open fires and eal Yorkshire Ales, The Railway Inn offering classic pub food and The Station Pub has a sun garden and you can catch up on sporting events or have a go at the Thursday night quiz.

There is a beautiful newly refurbished park, which locals raised the money to enhance the picturesque village.The park is for all ages with swings, a sand pit and slides for the little ones, a football pitch and skate park for the teenagers. There is also a local post office, with all this just a mile from Throstle Nest Farm.

Carleton

Carleton-in-Craven is a small village and civil parish in the Craven district of North Yorkshire, England, situated less than three miles from the market town of Skipton.Carleton is also just a mile form our Bed and Breakfast , a nice stroll or just a few minutes in the car. Carleton has a village shop, a local pub and a farm shop selling local produce.

There are regular buses and taxis into Skipton and the surrounding areas.

Skipton

Skipton is famous for its medieval castle that dominates the picturesque High Street, winner of the “Best High Street in the UK, 2009, with its wide cobbled sets and unique shops.

Four days of the week there is an outdoor market for you to explore and then wander the alleyways to find hidden cafes, shops and restaurants. Skipton is for the whole family with boat trips, walks around the medieval castle grounds, stroll through Skipton woods, soak up the history in the museum or pop into the tourist information office to see what Skipton has to offer.
